Cheney stated that his role in the Bush administration will be that of a transparent but disinterested advisor. Cheney has accepted the Republican vice-presidential nod Cheney stated that he looks at serving alongside a president who will work to get things done by engaging across the partisan divide as well as working with opposition politicians with good will and a common purpose. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce moved with his parents in Casper (in the US state of Wyoming) which is where his father served as director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's the district for soil conservation.
